Family Roots is the resulting work of Jesse's Garden. After Jesse's Garden, I realized there was a strong familial connection to nature. I made an installation that represents the space in my mind where I think about my nature photography and my family ties to nature. Floating around in my mind are incomplete visions of my most recent collection of nature photography as well as incomplete memories of family within nature. You can also hear various sounds of nature in my mind. In the corner of my mind is a cozy space where you can sit down and look through my handmade books where the two concepts finally come together. Inside the books are various memories and more photos from my collection. The books are split up between memories with different family members.
